The design process
01.
Concept design
& Planning application
We will work closely with you to develop the project brief and aspirations, and translate these into design options using drawings, sketches and images. Once the design direction is set, we will prepare drawings and relevant documents for planning application.
02.
Technical design
& Tender
We will further develop the design through developing construction details and selection of materials and finishes. This information is formalised into drawings and documents which can be sent out to suitable contractors for negotiated or competitive tendering.
03.
Construction
During construction, we will regularly visit the site, hold site meetings, monitor the build quality and liaise with the contractor and client regarding any site issues. Prior to completion, we will conduct a walk-through and prepare a defects list.
One-off consultations
If you have a potential build project but are not sure where to start, or you are looking for design advice on a specific aspect of your project, we also offer a one-off consultation service.
We will arrange a 40-minute online session to discuss your project and any issues that you would like to resolve. After the consultation, we will follow up with an email consisting of a summary of the meeting, accompanied by sketch plans and other relevant information as appropriate.
We can assist with areas including but not limited to:

— Property appraisal
— Advice on starting and delivering a project
We offer our online consultation service for £200, with an option to meet in person at the property for a small additional fee.
